- We will come to you! We call-outs/visits within a radius of approximately 30 miles from Rothbury, sometimes further if necessary.
- Support! This is the very core of what we do. You can buy a product from any large retailer, but will they offer any support? If you buy a product or a service from us, it will come with some support; enough to answer any questions you might have. 24/7 support is also available through a one month rolling contract.
- Phone & Broadband. We act as an ISP to many clients in the local area, and a few clients scattered across the UK! No call centres; you can pop in to the shop and talk to us face to face. Imagine that, in this modern era. Partnered through a rock solid network, we offer Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) and Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) Internet connections, as well as legacy ADSL connections for those unable to access fibre services.
- Domain Names, Websites, and Email hosting. We can host your website as well as your email addresses! We offer a complete service, from registration of a domain name on your behalf, creating a website for you, and then hosting it on a fast, reliable server, as well as hosting your email address.
- ‘No nonsense warranties‘. All the products we sell come with a warranty, of course. Should there be any problems or faults, just bring it back to our shop (or we can collect it for you), and we will refund it or exchange it with no fuss or quibbles.
- Our custom desktops come with a three year warranty (one year parts & labour, plus two further years labour only); far more than most retailers. You can extend it to a full three years parts & labour warranty for just £50! We take great pride in the systems we build and go to great lengths to make sure what we build for you is exactly what you require.
- The laptops we sell are set-up and configured for you, our customer. Data is transferred, software is configured, all updates are applied, security measures implemented, bloatware removed, and anything else you should require. We do not sell a box that just happens to contain a laptop. We sell a system that is configured and tailored to you.
- No quibble refunds. Faulty product? Not quite what you needed? Second thoughts? We will help to replace the item for you, but if you would simply like a refund, that’s fine too. Sometimes even if the packaging is obviously opened (such as a broken seal). We try our best to do whatever makes things easier for you.
- Advice! Free, friendly, expert advice. Just pop in for a chat, or Contact Us. Michael, the store owner and operator, has been using computers since he was 5 years old (and is nearly 40!). Michael’s father, Tim, works in the shop on Saturdays and covers Michael when he is called away from the shop. Tim worked for Natwest Bank for 30+ years as a systems analyst, so he knows a thing or two about computers too!
- Data Recovery. Drives can fail, and precious personal data can be lost. This can be financially and legally devastating for a business (many businesses fail after data loss), and it can be emotionally devastating for an individual; imagine losing all of the photos and videos of your children, your family and friends, etc. More often than not we can successfully recover that data for you, if not in-house, then our data recovery wizards at a trade only specialist company will step in. Together we have recovered thousands upon thousands of photos, videos, documents, and other files.
- Tuition. Sometimes you simply need to someone to sit down with you, perhaps with a cup of coffee (!), and teach you. Whether you’re trying to get to grips with the latest version Windows after years and years of using an older version, or MacOS or Linux perhaps, or you’re trying to learn something new like photo or video editing, or perhaps you’ve been assigned a new responsibility at work and you’re struggling to get to grips with new software, we can surely help you learn.
- Printing, scanning, copying – printer suddenly not playing ball and you need to print something urgently because of a deadline? Need to scan a document and email it someone? Or perhaps print something in order to sign it, and then scan that and send it? Or simply a few photocopies of a photo or a document? We do all of this and more. We can print regular A4 as well as the larger A3 format in-house, as well as scan any A4 document or smaller. For the tasks we can’t do in-house, we have a working relationship with a large printing firm who can print just about anything else.
